Camping @ Purtis-Creek State Park

Here are some fishing pictures from our camping trip to Purtis-Creek State Park at the beginning of November. We fished off a boat dock that morning using worms. Bella and I caught a couple small Blue gill and Adisyn caught a very large one! Later that night we went to the lighted fishing peer. It is amazing to watch all the huge bass swimming below. Purtis-Creek State Park is a catch and release lake for Bass so the Bass get huge and friendly! Adisyn baited her hook with a worm and threw the float just past the fish. She then reeled the worm directly in front of the basses mouth. The fish struck the bait hard and Adie set the hook even harder! Everyone on the the crowded fishing dock was very impressed. I was so proud! She had a great fishing day.

Hot Dog Fishing @ Huffhines Park

Here's some pictures of a Saturday (back in September) at Huffines Park with my kids! We had a great day of fishing with Oscar Mayer's Cheese Dogs. Those grilled wienies made the best bait! It is our new go to bait for Blue gill and Catfish! We also caught a turttle but no picture of that because everyone took off screaming and running.
